Field Note: October 5, 2025- Master of My Destiny
I am the master of my destiny,
even when living with chronic illness.
That truth took me years to claim — to understand that control isn’t about curing, fixing, or forcing.
It’s about choosing.
I can’t decide when the pain arrives or how long it stays,
but I can decide how gently I meet it.
I can choose patience instead of panic,
softness instead of shame.
There’s power in that — the quiet kind.
The kind that doesn’t shout but still shapes the day.
Even in a body that won’t always obey,
I’m the one steering the meaning.
And that, I’ve learned,
is its own kind of freedom.
Field Note: A reminder that even small choices shape our days—share this with someone who might need a little courage today.
