I learned early to understand life in clean terms — diagnosis and cure, loss and recovery, before and after. When my life changed, the damage wasn’t only physical, financial, or emotional. The point of view I used to make sense of experience collapsed as well. What followed were years that didn’t resolve, only continued. This map begins there — in the long work of learning how to live, see, and belong inside a life that refuses a final category.
